Homosexual Activist Targets Colorado Family with “Hate Crime” Fire in Front Yard

Fire starter leaves note accusing family of being terrorists for opposing homosexuality.

     COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado, September 28, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A family displaying signs opposing homosexuality on their front lawn have been the target of accelerating harassment by homosexual activists, culminating in a Klu Klux Klan type of blazing fire started in their front yard in the middle of the night, Focus on the Family’s Citizen Link reported yesterday.

     Christina Sewall woke up about 2 a.m. in her Colorado Springs home to discover a large bonfire on her front lawn, started by a man caught clearly on a video camera set up in the window of the home. The police have called it a hate crime, the latest in a series of increasing threats and vandalism since the Sewalls first set up the innocuous images as part of an ad campaign by Focus on the Family Action.

     The simple ads show a dog silhouette with the caption “woof” and the web address No-Moo-lies.com--the ads are intended to counter an ad campaign to raise support for homosexual domestic partnerships on the November ballot, according to Citizen Link, which show a dog with the caption “moo,” intended to represent the “difference” of homosexuality.

A note left after the first pair of signs was taken overnight read, in part:

“This sign is a symbol of hatred…YOU ARE NO BETTER THAN A TERRORIST BECAUSE YOU DISPLAYED THAT SIGN!

“The purpose of this document is to inform not you, but all who share your anti-gay or any other discriminatory beliefs, your world is about to change…SO TAKE WARNING! Your life, your government and the world as you know it is about to change. YOU ARE EITHER WITH US OR AGAINST US!”

“How is this being tolerant. They set our lawn on fire?” Sewall said. “We’re not preaching hate, but they are the ones doing the violence.”

How long will it be before Christianity becomes illegal in Britain? This is no longer the utterly absurd and offensive question that on first blush it would appear to be. An evangelical Christian campaigner, Stephen Green was arrested and charged last weekend with using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour. So what was this behaviour? Merely trying peacefully to hand out leaflets at a gay rally in Cardiff. So what was printed on those leaflets that was so threatening, abusive, or insulting that it attracted the full force of the law? Why, none other than the majestic words of the 1611 King James Bible. The problem was that they were those bits of the Bible which forbid homosexuality. The leaflets also urged homosexuals to "turn from your sins and you will be saved". But to the secular priests of the human rights culture, the only sin is to say that homosexuality is a sin. Admittedly, Mr. Green is not everyone's cup of tea; other Christians (apostate) regard him as extreme. But our society is now so upside-down that, by doing nothing more than upholding a fundamental tenet of Christianity, he was treated like a criminal. And yet at the same time, the police are still studiously refusing to act against Islamic zealots abusing British freedom to preach hatred and incitement against the West.

Gay couples in Massachusetts can legally adopt, but one Massachusetts’ charity is reluctant to place children in same-sex households. After being ordered to follow “the law,” the charity decided to get out of the adoption business completely. The alternative to abortion is to promote adoption. A proper constitution of a family involves a mother and a father. The state of Massachusetts is placing the gay agenda ahead of the rights of institutions. The Factor (Bill O’Reilly) urged all parties to reach a compromise. "The bottom line on this is that kids get hurt - the state and the Charity should get together and make an exception." – O’Reilly, later on in his news show said (paraphrase), there are things a whole lot worse than that and he doesn’t think it is wrong.
