Pat Roberston

Retractions: a tool of the Devil. Robertson is being used by the Devil to make Christians look greedy, shifty, spineless, and  terrible. When money is involved Robertson will retract his statements and apologize for telling the truth. This last generation's  perception of Christianity is resting on the tele-evangelists' portrayal of false Christianity. What has been happening over and over again is Biblical truth being presented and disseminated world-wide through television, radio, and newspaper. Once an outrage to God's truth is stoked to fever pitch then the "evangelist" will apologize for the "mistake" they have made. True Bible Believing Christians do not behave as Mr. Robertson. If anyone believes his brand of Christianity is the truth then one needs to read the Bible.

 9/11 Apology:

Pat Robertson, host of the 700 Club program, agreed with Falwell's (see page) statements during the program: (Partial transcript of comments from the Thursday, September 13, 2001 edition of the '700 Club') --

JERRY FALWELL: And, I know that I'll hear from them (ACLU) for this. But, throwing God out successfully with the help of the federal court system, throwing God out of the public square, out of the schools. The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way--all of them who have tried to secularize America--I point the finger in their face and say "you helped this happen."

PAT ROBERTSON: Well, I totally concur, and the problem is we have adopted that agenda at the highest levels of our government. And so we're responsible as a free society for what the top people do. And, the top people, of course, is the court system.

On the February 8, 2002, edition of Hannity & Colmes, Colmes asked him about his on-air endorsement of Reverend Jerry Falwell's remark blaming "the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians ... the ACLU, [and] People For the American Way for the September 11 terrorist attacks. Robertson replied: "I thought it was totally inappropriate at the time, and -- I was watching a monitor. I'm on a monitor there with you, and he was on a monitor with me, and I, frankly, wasn't paying as much -- as close attention, until I read the transcript later on, to what he said, and we both repudiated those remarks."

The Bible says in Deuteronomy 6:24 - And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day. 25 - And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.

Deuteronomy 32:29 - O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end! 30 - How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up? 31 - For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges. 32 - For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter: 33 - Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps. 34 - Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among my treasures? 35 - To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste. 36 - For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left. 37 - And he shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted, 38 - Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection.

God is saying if people will not fear God, to listen and do His will, then God will turn people over to their false gods and those false gods can be the protection of the people. If people reject God and do not want His blessings and protection then they can have what they want if that is what they so wish. But God is saying those false gods cannot protect people.

Sharon Apology:

(CNN) Friday, January 6, 2006; Posted: 5:33 a.m. EST (10:33 GMT). -- Television evangelist Pat Robertson suggested Thursday that Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's stroke was divine retribution for the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, which Robertson opposed. "He was dividing God's land, and I would say, 'Woe unto any prime minister of Israel who takes a similar course to appease the [European Union], the United Nations or the United States of America,'" Robertson told viewers of his long-running television show, "The 700 Club." According to The Associated Press, Robertson spokeswoman Angell Watts said of people who criticized the comments: "What they're basically saying is, 'How dare Pat Robertson quote the Bible?'" "This is what the word of God says," Watts told the AP. "This is nothing new to the Christian community."

(CNN) Thursday, January 12, 2006; Posted: 5:23 a.m. EST (10:23 GMT). JERUSALEM -- Pat Robertson's mouth has cost him his piece of the Holy Land.  Israel on Wednesday said it would go ahead with plans to build an evangelical Christian heritage center in northern Israel -- but without Robertson, after the Christian Coalition founder said Israeli leader Ariel Sharon's stroke was divine retribution for "dividing God's land." "From our perspective, such a statement made for a person that is lying in a hospital bed is outrageous," Deputy Tourism Minister Rami Levy told CNN.

(Associated Press) Updated: 5:39 p.m. ET Jan. 12, 2006. TEL AVIV, Israel -- Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson has sent a letter apologizing for suggesting that Ariel Sharon’s massive stroke was divine punishment for pulling Israel out of the Gaza Strip. Robertson’s comments drew widespread condemnation from other Christian leaders, President Bush and Israeli officials, who canceled plans to include the American evangelist in the construction of a Christian tourist center in northern Israel.  In a letter dated Wednesday and marked for hand delivery to Sharon’s son Omri, Robertson called the Israeli prime minister a “kind, gracious and gentle man” who was “carrying an almost insurmountable burden of making decisions for his nation.”

The Bibles says in Genesis 12:1- Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2 - And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3 - And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Nehemiah 5:9 - Also I said, It is not good that ye do: ought ye not to walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the heathen our enemies? 10 - I likewise, and my brethren, and my servants, might exact of them money and corn: I pray you, let us leave off this usury. 11 - Restore, I pray you, to them, even this day, their lands, their vineyards, their oliveyards, and their houses, also the hundredth part of the money, and of the corn, the wine, and the oil, that ye exact of them. 12 - Then said they, We will restore them, and will require nothing of them; so will we do as thou sayest. Then I called the priests, and took an oath of them, that they should do according to this promise. 13 - Also I shook my lap, and said, So God shake out every man from his house, and from his labour, that performeth not this promise, even thus be he shaken out, and emptied. And all the congregation said, Amen, and praised the LORD. And the people did according to this promise.

God will not bless, but will curse the person or people who take away the rightful land of the Jewish people. God has returned the Jewish people to the Promised Land in this last generation. Anyone trying to remove God's people will be "shaken out." Job 16:11 - God hath delivered me to the ungodly, and turned me over into the hands of the wicked. 12 - I was at ease, but he hath broken me asunder: he hath also taken me by my neck, and shaken me to pieces, and set me up for his mark. 13 - His archers compass me round about, he cleaveth my reins asunder, and doth not spare; he poureth out my gall upon the ground.

Say What ?!?

In a CNN interview on April 16, 2001, Robertson, the founder of the Christian Coalition and head of the Christian Broadcasting Network, was asked how he reconciles his support for close ties with China with Beijing's ruthless one-child policy, which has forced unwanted abortions on tens of millions of women.  "I don't agree with it," Robertson said. "But ... they've got 1.2 billion people, and they don't know what to do. If every family over there was allowed to have three or four children, the population would be completely unsustainable.... They're doing what they have to do."  When pro-lifers expressed shock that Robertson could excuse such things, he issued a "clarification:" He repeated that he personally opposes abortion, but was unwilling to fault Beijing [!]: The Chinese, he said, "will face a tragic dilemma of massive proportions if they permit their population to explode."

Say What ?!?

WASHINGTON (Reuters) August 23, 2005 - Conservative U.S. evangelist Pat Robertson called for the assassination of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, but top U.S. officials denied on Tuesday that any such illegal act was being contemplated. Venezuelan officials said Robertson's remarks were "a call to terrorism," and demanded President George W. Bush condemn his political ally and fellow Christian conservative. But Chavez, who was winding up a three-day visit to communist ally Cuba, told reporters he didn't care about Robertson. "I don't even know who this person is." The Christian response should have been: "We need to pray for this leader to be converted to the LORD Jesus Christ."

Say What ?!?

Associated Press. 10/12/2003 7:13:26 PM. (Virginia Beach, Virginia-AP) -- State Department condemns Pat Robertson remark agency should be blown up. The State Department is condemning an on-air suggestion by Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson that the agency ought to be blown up with a nuclear device. During an interview with an author who is critical of the State Department, Robertson said, "If I could just get a nuclear device inside Foggy Bottom, I think that's the answer." He told Joel Mowbray that after reading his book, "you say, 'We've got to blow that thing up."'  The State Department's headquarters are located in a section of Washington called Foggy Bottom.  State Department spokesman Richard Boucher called Robertson's remark "despicable." Boucher also said "I lack sufficient capabilities to express my disdain."  Robertson, head of the Christian Broadcasting Network, regularly condemns the State Department as a rogue element he says consistently undermines US policies and the principles of freedom.

Why Robertson does what he does.

There is a reason that Mr. Robertson is making these outrageous statements. He is implanting in the minds of thoughtless viewers that Christians are the type of people who would think and do these type of things. These are outright lies pouring forth from this false prophet's mouth. But the plot thickens. It is tied into the FBI pamphlet that was circulated during the Clinton/Reno era. (Go to http://www.thepowerhour.com/news/avjf_1.htm) if this link is out of date just type into your browser "FBI Terrorism Task Force Pamphlet." This pamphlet clumps together groups of people that are considered "Domestic Terrorists." Among the clumping of groups are defenders of the US Constitution, people who are against the UN, people who make numerous references to the US Constitution, lone individuals, and doomsdayers.

The definition of a domestic terrorist, according to the government includes people who believe the book of Revelation is literal and people who love the freedom afforded by the Constitution. The Patriot Act (rushed into law without being read in its entirety) defines "domestic terrorism" as activities within the United States that (among others). . . involve acts dangerous to human life that. . . appear to be intended -- (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion. . . .  The law is written so vague (on purpose) that the government (when the time is ripe) can arrest Christians because they preach the truth of the Bible. A terrorist, according to the US government's  laws on the books today, is a Bible Believing Christian who tries to persuade people of the truth concerning government corruption (policy) and sins and the fact that King Jesus (a foreign monarchial government) is going to destroy the armies of the earth (destruction of UN and US troops) at His second coming at the battle of Armageddon (terror for people on the wrong end of prophecy).

When the false prophets have created enough of a distaste in the mouths of "the people" concerning true Bible Believers then the government can "enforce" the laws on the books without much public backlash. Bidding goodbye to the state of Pennsylvania, Tom Ridge, the first head of Homeland Security,  issued a stern warning that ethnic and religious harassment or intimidation should not be tolerated. "To those Americans who would lash out at your fellow citizens simply because they worship differently, or dress differently, or look differently than you, there is a word for such behavior — terrorism. And it must stop," he said.  October 02, 2001. A Christian who teaches or preaches against false doctrine and false religions will be declared a terrorist!

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Pat Robertson:

 False Prophet

“I put these things out with humility but nevertheless,

I have a relatively  good track record…

…sometimes I’ve missed.”

Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul (Deut. 13:3).

Pat Robertson: False Prophet
http://www.lastgeneration.us/pat_robertson.htm

On Jan. 1, 1980 Pat Robertson reported God had told him the Soviet Union would in that year invade several Middle Eastern nations, seize the world’s oil reserves, and throw the United States and Western Europe into economic chaos, sparking worldwide conflict.

The initial Soviet deployment of the 40th Army into Afghanistan took place on December 25, 1979, leading to a nine year occupation. Pat’s prediction had a bit of foreknowledge since his prophecies for that year were given on the 1st day of the year. However, that year the Soviet Union could not even beat the U.S. in ice hockey. As far as economic crises and chaos goes, Jimmy Carter did have to become surety for the Chrysler Corporation by giving them $1.5 billion in loans to bail them out. However, how could any good prophet of God have missed the Mount St. Helens tragedy that year?

…if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him (Deut. 18:21-22).

1980: What A Year

1980 began on a Tuesday and was a leap year. None of  Pat’s predictions came to pass. Some  of 1980’s major international problems, disasters, and financial events missed by the false prophet’s predictions, included:

January 4 - U.S. President Jimmy Carter proclaims a grain embargo against the USSR with the support of the European Commission.

January 21 - The London Gold-Fixing hits its highest price ever (adjusted for inflation) at US $850 a troy ounce.

February 22 - The United States Olympic Hockey Team defeats the Soviet Union in the semifinals of the Winter Olympics, in the "Miracle on Ice."

March 21 - U.S. President Jimmy Carter announces that the United States will boycott the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow.

March 27 - The Silver Thursday market crash occurs.

September 22 - The command council of Iraq orders its army to "deliver its fatal blow on Iranian military targets," initiating the Iran-Iraq War.

November 4 - U.S. presidential election, 1980: Republican challenger and former Governor Ronald Reagan of California defeats incumbent Democrat President Jimmy Carter by a wide margin, exactly one year after the beginning of the Iran hostage crisis.

November 21 - Millions of viewers tune into the U.S. TV soap opera Dallas to learn who shot lead character J.R. Ewing. The "Who shot J.R.?" event was a national obsession.

December 16 - During a summit on the island of Bali, OPEC decides to raise the price of petroleum by 10%.

Some of Pat’s False Prophecies Which Never Came to Pass.

1981 “World War III”

In 1981, Robertson predicted a global economic collapse between 1983 and 1985. He once predicted a Russian invasion of Israel (which will take place in the future according to true Bible prophecy) and claimed that the USSR would collapse after the outbreak of a World War III. False prediction, did not happen in the 1980's nor 90's.

2002 “Too Horrible to Contemplate”

January 2, 2002, Pat Robertson spoke on the 700 Club about the prophecy he was given for the year ahead -- during a prayer retreat over the holidays. I'm summarizing here as best I can. Most of this is verbatim. "This year, there will be a false sense of optimism about America's strength and the economy. People will forget the tragedy (9/11). It will be life as usual, business as usual.  Then the terrors will begin. There will be panic, and screams, and cries of the dying. What is coming will be too horrible for you to contemplate. Know that the Day of Judgment is very near. Warn people to be ready. Seek righteousness and seek humility, that you may be hid in the day of the Lord's wrath. Wrong year.

Pat said the Lord spoke the following for 2002: There will be massive floods, tornadoes, violent earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions. There will be terror, heartache, and blistering heat. The time of the great movement of Evangelism is coming to an end. There is little time left…one more attack like the World Trade Center will push our own economy and the world economy over the edge. He said that he believed San Francisco and Detroit will be the targets of terrorism. Did not happen.

Pat said the Lord told him the Israelis will accommodate Arafat to their own great sorrow. That was by far the most contradictory of predictions. Ariel Sharon, who had previously demanded Arafat speak out strongly in Arabic against suicide bombings, declared Arafat "assisted the terrorists and made himself an enemy of Israel and irrelevant to any peace negotiations". Israel then launched a major military offensive called "Operation Defensive Shield” into the West Bank. Arafat was holed up at his headquarters in Jenin until May 3, 2002 when six militants wanted by Israel, who had been holed up with Arafat in his compound, would be turned over to a combination of British and American security personnel who were to ensure the wanted men remained imprisoned. No one would negotiate with Arafat that year, nor until his death two and-a-half years later. The reason being it finally dawned on people the con game he was playing with his people and the international community for personal gain.

2004 “Blowout Landslide”

Pat’s 2004 prediction assured President Bush would win reelection easily. Robertson reported that the race would be a “blowout.” "God tells me it's Bush in a blowout…President George W. Bush will be re-elected in a landslide.” In fact, Bush won narrowly by less than 3 percent.

2005 “Christian Victories?”

In 2005 according to Robertson, God went into specifics. God reportedly said Bush will “also have Social Security reform passed, he'll have tax reform passed, he'll have conservative judges on the courts, and that basically he is positioned for a series of dramatic victories, which I hope will hearten him and his advisors.” “The vendetta against religion in America is about to end,” Robertson said God told him. Wrong again, still not able to place the 10 Commandments in public view.

In what Robertson portrayed as a direct quote, God reportedly said, “I will remove judges from the Supreme Court quickly and their successors will refuse to sanction the attacks on religious faith.” In 2005 no one saw those predictions come to fruition. Justice Samuel Alito, nominated to take O'Connor's seat in October 2005, received confirmation on January 31, 2006.

The only Justice put on the bench in 2005 was Justice Roberts. In his Senate testimony, Roberts acknowledged that, on the Circuit Court, he would have an obligation to respect precedents established by the Supreme Court, including the controversial decision invalidating many restrictions on the right to an abortion. He stated: "Roe v. Wade is the settled law of the land.... There is nothing in my personal views that would prevent me from fully and faithfully applying that precedent, as well as Casey."

That is not a conservative view in any wildest sense of the imagination. Not only were there not “Judges” as in plural (only one that year) but they hardly could be considered a Christian even if they claim to be. What true Christian with the power to overturn a murderous ruling would decide to stick with the “law of the land?” Thank God the midwives (Ex. 1:17) decided not to follow the law of Pharaoh when he declared it legal to kill all newborn male babies. Just because a demon-possessed court allows murderous butchery to become the law of the land does not mean it is legal and moral in God’s eyes.  So much for a “conservative” put on the bench.

2006 “Surfs Up In Oregon”

2006: Tsunami on west coast of U.S. “If I heard the Lord right about 2006, the coasts of America will be lashed by storms,” Robertson said. He added specifics... “There well may be something as bad as a tsunami in the Pacific Northwest,” he said. Did not happen.

The Newest Predictions for 2007

“Total Chaos”

For some reason the lost world thinks Pat Robertson is God’s man. Therefore, when Pat Robertson makes his false predictions the lost world blames God and mocks Christianity. However, Pat Robertson is the liar, claiming prophecies for which God never spoke. The following is Robertson’s newest claim:

“I’ve been away for a prayer retreat, I put these things out with humility but nevertheless, I have a relatively  good track record…sometimes I’ve missed but…the evil men…evil people are going to try to do evil things to us and to others during the last part of this year…second half somehow of 2007.... There will be some very serious terrorist attacks (in the US)…a definite certainty chaos is going to rule and the politicians will not have any solutions for it…it is just going to be chaos…it is going to happen…its not going to be nuclear but something like that…mass killing possibly millions of people…major cities injured.

A true Christian’s view of Pat is he keeps guessing on possibilities. Anyone who keeps posted on current world events can make educated guesses as to what could happen in the world in the following year. None of Pat’s false prophecies have materialized. One can conclude he is not receiving his visions and dreams from God but from a false and lying spirit. Anyone can guess upon generalities and predict possibilities being supplied with instantaneous information from the Internet. However, when studying the true prophets of God in the Bible one finds they were given specifics which came to pass. Pat neither gives specifics nor do his false predictions come to pass. He might find a career with the National Enquirer or with a false prophets' club.

Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul (Deut. 13:3).
