     WASHINGTON — The president will travel from Jan. 8 to Jan. 16; in addition to Israel and the West Bank, his stops will include Kuwait, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Egypt; all but Kuwait took part in the Middle East peace conference Mr. Bush hosted on Nov. 27 in Annapolis, Md. In Jerusalem, Bush will meet with President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, and in the West Bank with President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Salam Fayyad. Dana Perino, the White House spokeswoman, said that the Bush visit would “follow up on the progress made at Annapolis” and “encourage Israeli-Arab reconciliation.” “The trip will also be an opportunity to reaffirm the enduring commitment of the United States to the security of our allies in the Middle East, especially with the Gulf nations, and our close work with them to combat terrorism and extremism, promote freedom, and seek peace and prosperity in the region,” she said.

     The Arabs do not want "reconciliation" with the Jews. The Arabs want to push all Jews into the Mediterranean Sea. As long as the United States keeps giving the Arab nations money and arms they will keep playing along until they feel the US has given them enough supplies to take over Israel. The US must arm the Jews in Israel to the teeth and knock out Iranian nuclear capabilities before it is too late. God promises anyone who supports the Jews and blesses them will be blessed by God. Anyone who opposes, curses, and divides the land of Israel to give to other nations other than the Jews is going to receive the curse of God. Witness: Genesis 12:1-3, Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. Bush  is working in opposition to God and his work for peace will  produce a curse.

     National Security Council spokesman Gordon Johndroe said: “This shows once again that al Qaeda offer nothing but violence and death.”  Jan. 6, two days before the US president arrives in the Middle East, American Islamic convert Adam Gadahn called on brothers of the Mujahedin, mainly in Palestine and the Arabian Peninsula, and in the region in general, to be ready to welcome the Crusader… “not by flowers and applause, but with bombs and car bombs." This call was made in Arabic. The rest of the 50-minute audio message, al Qaeda’s first in 2008, was in English.  Dec. 30, Osama bin Laden warning Iraqis against backing their US-backed government and vowing to “liberate every inch of Palestine.” Gadahn has been indicted for treason by a US jury. There is a million dollar bounty on his head.

     Referring to Gadahn’s tearing up of his US passport on camera, Johndroe said: “He is wanted for treason against the US. His passport was already void.” In the video, Gadahn lashed out repeatedly at the United States for its wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and its close ties to Israel and the leaders of some Muslim countries, including Egypt and Pakistan, which he described as some of the "worst dictators and tyrants."

     Unfortunately the world is buying the lie that Islam is a peaceful religion. Islam is a deceitful religion that teaches it is okay to lie to their enemies in order to win their jihads. Rulers in Islamic countries are pacifying their income sources by telling them what they want. When the time is right the Islamic nations will strike back, however in vain.

     Have something in writing drawn up with Abbas ready to show Bush – even if it means nothing. That in a word was the advice Jordan’s King Abdullah II gave Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert when they met in Aqaba Thursday, Jan. 3. Olmert offered to go along with the advice, but said he was worried about the Palestinian leader. Last week, Abbas confided to Abdullah and Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak that he is very ill and fed up and sorely tempted to retire to his villa in Qatar (In order to get off of some terrorist's hit list for cooperating with the US).

     DEBKAfile’s sources report that, while no progress has so far been achieved, the prime minister is anxious to keep Abbas on the post-Annapolis peace track up until the US president’s visit on Jan. 8. As an inducement, he gave in to his personal request to allow four hard-line Palestinian cronies to enter the West Bank, a request that had been denied by three former Israeli prime ministers, Barak, Natanyahu, and Sharon. DEBKAfile has their names: Abu Zaim Atallah Atallah, Palestinian military intelligence chief under Yasser Arafat in the 70s and 80s, and father of Abbas’ security adviser, who has been working with Bush’s security coordinator Gen. Keith Dayton. Abu Mohsein Qatan , a London-based multimillionaire. He scandalized the West Bank when he predicted on his arrival that there would never be a Palestinian state and an Israel-Palestinian state was a more realistic goal. Gen. Muhammed Jihad has been living in Amman. His candidacy for ministerial appointment in the Palestinian government has come up more than once. Abu Maher Ghanem, the Tunis-based head of the PLO’s organization and recruitment department. Ghanem is the most able and serious of the four. He holds the entire manpower list of the various PLO factions and decides on the distribution of funds.

     Olmert’s purpose in allowing Abbas’ mates to enter Ramallah is to strengthen the PA Chairman’s immediate circle and bolster his declining authority (and save his life). Neither attaches much importance to the impending US president’s visit, which they see as a farewell tour. They expect him to hoist the Palestinian flag in Ramallah and Jericho for the sake of being recorded in history as the first American president to visit to the Palestinian Authority. After he leaves, the situation will revert to its normal stalemate.

     President Bush’s top diplomatic and military managers have a tough assignment to convince skeptical, mostly Sunni-led Arab nations that they have more to lose if Iraq fails than they stand to gain by waiting until the U.S. leaves or Bush’s term ends. The Cabinet secretaries are also trying to solidify what the U.S. sees as a bulwark of generally moderate Arab states against an increasingly ambitious and unpredictable Iran.

     “We have also been calling for the noninterference of any foreign powers into Iraq,” Aboul Gheit said. “That is something we would renew.” Unity against Iran is not a hard sell. But Washington has had far less success in rallying Arab help for Iraq that goes much beyond words. Arab money and diplomatic support has lagged behind Europe’s, and some of Iraq’s neighbors quietly tolerate, or may secretly support, attacks inside Iraq. Some of the violence targets U.S. forces and some of it Shiite militias and neighborhoods. For their part, Arab countries may be worried that escalating opposition in the United States to the war in Iraq may signal a declining commitment to security in the region.
