What hope is there for a civilization governed by delusional maniacs? The Western world’s big crusade, these days, is to stamp out “hate” and “bullying.” Our administrative class tries to do this by bullying people into submission. With such a lofty enterprise in hand, our social engineering crowd—politicians, teachers, police, and the usual sordid mix of bureaucrats and self-anointed experts—perform actions which are very difficult to report. Readers think you’re putting them on. The line between news and satire has been just about erased. Case in point…
“Education authorities” in Britain are now keeping permanent records of “racist” or “homophobic” remarks made by children—yes, children—eleven years old and younger: some of them as young as three years old; the thought police are busy in the nursery schools. (Source: “’Racists’ aged THREE: Toddlers among thousands of children accused of bigotry after name-calling,” by Kate Loveys in The Daily Mail, Sept. 14, 2011) The children are deemed to have been guilty of hate crime. A record of the offense will follow each child throughout his entire school career and will be made available to college admissions officers and even employers for the rest of the three-year-old criminal’s life.
No, this is not satire. I’m not just making it up. “Figures… were obtained under the Freedom of Information Act” by a civil liberties group, reports The Daily Mail. Why are they doing this? In 2002 Britain’s Labour Party government required schools to report “all racial incidents”—the operative word is “all”—to their friendly neighborhood Local Education Authority. The rationale was “to stamp out bullying.” So that’s the reason they give: but the real reason is that these people are both wicked and insane. To believe that heavy-handed government action can actually re-make human nature is insane. To want to try to do it is wicked.
Is there a name for a religion characterized by the worship of intractably sinful idiots? Yes, there is. Its name is humanism. Its high priests come along and promise us an earthly paradise if only we put ourselves in their hands and obey them unreservedly. The end result is usually a pile of dead bodies. Public schools are this religion’s temples. Where else can you find trained, accredited professionals who honestly believe a three-year-old child can be an enemy of the people? And if they don’t honestly believe it, that’s even worse! But in all likelihood, teachers’ union members are perfectly capable of believing such a thing. As for parents who entrust their children’s “education” to such people—well, who can even imagine what they’re thinking?
“Hate” is, to them, intolerable. They hate hate, and anyone who hates must be pummeled into a state of numb compliance. If the previous statement strikes you as illogical, you are obviously not yet ready to be a public school teacher. It’s too bad they have to break all those eggs—but they’re making an omelet, and they can’t afford to be squeamish. The fact that humanists never get beyond the egg-breaking stage of producing their utopian omelet seems to make no impression on them whatsoever. Britain is but one nation of the West that has rejected the true God and turned to false ones. And the false gods are cruel. They’re only power-hungry, crack-brained mortal men and women, so they have to be cruel. They pretend to higher wisdom and fly around in private jets, but the glamor always wears off eventually and then they have to stomp on people to keep them in line.
It could be worse in Britain. They could be packing off these homophobic toddlers to re-education camps. They could sentence the parents to labor camps. But at least in Britain the ruling class has learned that it’s better to keep the masses paying taxes instead of just rotting away behind barbed wire. Someone, after all, has to pay for all those jets and limousines—not to mention teacher pensions. Meanwhile, what’s 30,000 children on a lifelong hate-crime watch list, if it means the final abolition of bullying? What price is too great to pay for a world without poverty, hate, inequality, war, global warming, or trans-fats? “All this can be yours,” says Satan, “if you will only fall down and worship me.” That’s what Satan always says. And the answer, in the words of Our Lord Jesus Christ, is this: “Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve.” (Matthew 4:10) One last question: why should we care what happens over there in Britain? Police have threatened a Christian cafe owner with arrest –for displaying passages from the Bible on a TV screen. Jamie Murray was warned by two police officers to stop playing DVDs of the New Testament in his cafe following a complaint from a customer that it was inciting hatred against homosexuals. Mr Murray, 31, was left shocked after he was questioned for nearly an hour by the officers, who arrived unannounced at the premises.
He said he had turned off the Bible DVD after an ‘aggressive inquisition’ during which he thought he was going to be arrested and ‘frog-marched out of the cafe like a criminal.’ But he added: ‘I have now checked on my rights and I am not going to be bullied by the police and the PC lobby out of playing the Bible silently in my cafe. It’s crazy. Christians have to stand up for what they believe in.’ The Salt and Light cafe in Blackpool has for years repeatedly played the entire 26-hour-long Watchword Bible, a 15-DVD set produced in America in which a narrator reads the whole of the New Testament, on a small flatscreen TV on the back wall.
The sound is turned down but the words flash on to the screen against a series of images. The cafe, which opened eight years ago, also prides itself on being an oasis of calm in a high-crime area of Blackpool. Mr Murray said the two uniformed officers from Lancashire Constabulary arrived at lunchtime on Monday, the cafe’s busiest time of day. WPC June Dorrian, the community beat manager, told him there had been a complaint and he was breaching the Public Order Act 1986. On display: Jamie Murray believes passages like the one above, led to the complaint. Mr Murray said: ‘I told them that all that appeared on the screen were the words of the New Testament. There is no sound, just the words on the screen and simple images in the background of sheep grazing or candles burning. I thought there might be some mix-up but they said they were here to explain the law to me and how I had broken it.
‘I said, “Are you really telling me that I am facing arrest for playing the Bible?” and the WPC fixed me with a stare and said, “If you broadcast material that causes offence under the Public Order Act then we will have to take matters further. You cannot break the law.” ’Mr Murray, who worked in a homeless shelter for five years before taking over the cafe three months ago, said he realised the only way to appease the police was to pull the plug on the Bible. Words from God: Jamie Murray said all the passages on his TV are quotes from the New Testament ‘I was worried about being handcuffed and led out of the shop in front of my customers. It wouldn’t have looked good so I thought it was better to comply. It felt like a betrayal. They left the shop and told me they would continue to monitor if we were displaying inflammatory material. At no stage had they spoken to me like I was a law-abiding citizen trying to earn a living. I felt like a criminal.’
Mr Murray said he had been given no indication of who had complained or which verses of the New Testament had caused the offence, but he guessed it may have been a reaction to the Book Of Romans that had been playing the week before. The Book takes the form of a letter from the apostle Paul to the people of Rome, in which he rails against all manner of godlessness. In verses 26-28 of Chapter One he says: For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient....
The Christian Institute has said Jamie Murray's DVDs is free to display the Bible any way he chooses, even by playing religious programmes. Lancashire Police said they had received a complaint on Saturday afternoon from a female customer who was ‘deeply offended’ by the words she had seen on the screen. The Christian Institute, which is supporting Mr Murray, said its lawyers had told him he is free to display the Bible in any way he chooses, and they are preparing a complaint against the police. The Institute’s spokesman Mike Judge said: ‘I have no problem with the police looking into a complaint, but once they realised it was just the words of the Bible being shown on the screen then they should have walked away.
‘They did not even look at the offending DVD. They simply told Mr Murray that he had to stop showing the Bible and warned him that they would continue to monitor what he was doing. This is intimidatory and completely unacceptable. ‘It is a problem right across the country that the police are under huge political pressure to be seen to respond to anything homophobic.’ Lancashire Police said they had received a complaint on Saturday afternoon from a female customer who was ‘deeply offended’ by the words she had seen on the screen. A spokesman said they were ‘duty bound’ to respond to the complaint and had concluded the cafe could be in breach of Section 29E of the Public Order Act, which warns that people who play images or sounds that stir up hatred against homosexuals could be guilty of an offence. However, it also says criticism of sexual conduct ‘shall not be taken of itself to be threatening or intended to stir up hatred.’
A police spokesman said: ‘At no point did the officer ask the cafe owner to remove any materials or arrest the man and we took a commonsense and objective approach in dealing with the complaint. We believe our response and the action we took was completely proportionate and our officers are always available should the cafe owner want to discuss the matter or need any advice in the future. ‘The Constabulary is respectful of all religious views. However, we do have a responsibility to make sure that material that communities may find deeply offensive or inflammatory is not being displayed in public. ‘No complaint has been received about the conduct of the officer in question and we are satisfied that they performed their duties professionally.’
