Pentagon: Ready for gay ban repeal Tuesday

WASHINGTON, (AP) -- The military has begun accepting applications from openly gay recruits but will not act on them until the legal ban on openly gay service is lifted Tuesday, says a Pentagon official. Pentagon press secretary George Little said Monday that the military is adequately prepared for the end of the current policy, commonly known as "don't ask, don't tell," under which gays can serve as long as they don't openly acknowledge their sexual orientation and commanders are not allowed to ask. "No one should be left with the impression that we are unprepared. We are prepared for repeal," Little said.

Last week, the Pentagon said 97 percent of the military has undergone training in the new law. The ban will end at one minute after midnight. At that time, revised Defense Department regulations will take effect, to reflect the new law that will allow gays to serve openly. In preparation for Tuesday's repeal, the military services have spent several months adjusting regulations to remove references to limitations on gay service. The lifting of the ban also will mean a halt to all pending investigations, discharges and other administrative proceedings that were begun under the "don't ask, don't tell" law. Existing standards of personal conduct, such as those pertaining to public displays of affection, will continue regardless of sexual orientation.

President Barack Obama signed the law last December, and in July he certified that lifting the ban will not diminish the military's ability to fight. Some in Congress remain opposed to repeal, arguing that it may undermine order and discipline. Little said Defense Secretary Leon Panetta would discuss the matter at a Pentagon news conference on Tuesday. The Pentagon otherwise was taking a low-key approach to the historic day. Gay rights groups, however, were preparing a series of celebrations. Service Members Legal Defense Network said repeal supporters would hold "Repeal Day" celebrations across the country Tuesday.

Real world loses to ideologue-in-chief

"If the law is changed, successfully implementing repeal and assimilating openly homosexual Marines into the tightly woven fabric of our combat units has strong potential for disruption at the small unit level, as it will no doubt divert leadership attention away from an almost singular focus of preparing units for combat."--Marine commandant, General James Amos.  The quote above came a few weeks ago when Gen. Amos appeared before members of Congress to talk about how open homosexuality would work inside the Marine Corps. Congress decided they didn't care what Gen. Amos had to say and voted a week ago to, in fact, change 200 years of military tradition against the best judgment and desires of both the Marine commandant and the Army Chief of Staff, General George W. Casey, Jr. This is stunning.

Said Gen. Casey: "I do have serious concerns about the impact of the repeal of the law on a force that is fully engaged in two wars and has been at war for eight and a half years. We just don't know the impacts on readiness and military effectiveness." It is just hard to believe that as Commander in Chief, President Obama would show such contempt and disrespect for these two leaders that he would force a vote on something so profound in a lame-duck session of Congress -- and without any consideration for the short- and long-term negative implications, including recruiting and retention.

Amos went on to say: "I cannot reconcile, nor turn my back, on the negative perceptions held by our Marines who are most engaged in the hard work of day-to-day operations in Afghanistan." Wow. Those are some very strong words from the leader of our United States Marines. He doesn't have the luxury of dealing in theory but rather has to deal with the real-world, day-to-day living of the men and women toiling on the front lines of war on our behalf. What if? What if Gen. Amos is right? What if he knows what he's talking about? Make no mistake about it; these two distinguished generals were just slapped in the face by Obama, his fellow Democrats, and a few Republicans in Congress. (Look up the roll call vote)

There is good reason why this policy has been around since our military was instituted -- and the reason is obvious to anyone who has common sense. You don't put people working in close proximity to one another and add the sexual tension to the mix without consequences. It's the very same reason the military provides separate bathing and sleeping quarters for women. Men and women are sexually attracted to one another, and to make them bunk and shower together would create chaos. So why do Obama and company want to force straight men to shower and bunk with men who are open about their sexual attraction to other men? (See Immoral Decline As In The Days Of Sodom And Gomorrah: America Marches Towards The Kingdom Of The Anti-Christ Obama Wants To Legalize Sodomy In The Armed Forces: There Are Laws Against Twisted Homosexual Acts).

It is only going to create more problems for the rank-and-file soldier and for their leaders, according to Gens. Amos and Casey. And it is so unnecessary. The military already has a "don't ask, don't tell" policy that keeps sexual orientation from being an issue. Now this change forces an issue that there is no need to force. But Obama and the Democrats don't care about this. They only care about appeasing the homosexual, lesbian, and bi-sexual and transgendered activist groups. Someone's sexual behavior or orientation is not the same as someone's ethnicity. This was best spoken by Gen. Colin Powell when he testified on the subject back in the '90s: "Skin color is a benign, not a behavioral characteristic. Sexual orientation is perhaps the most profound of human behavioral characteristics. Comparison of the two is a convenient but invalid argument."

Powell, before he got out of the military and became politically correct, said this: "I think it would be prejudicial to good order and discipline to try to integrate gays and lesbians in the current military structure." General Norman Schwarzkopf, said in 1993: "...in my years of military service, I've experienced the fact that the introduction of an open homosexual into a small unit immediately polarizes that unit and destroys the very bonding that is so important for the unit's survival in time of war." Has all this experience and wisdom about human nature and the best working conditions for our military changed because the years have passed?

What Obama and company have done here is shameful and -- if you believe these military leaders -- could threaten the effectiveness of the greatest and most powerful military the world has ever known. But Obama is willing to take this risk with his social engineering and experimentation while leaders like Gens. Amos and Casey, and our men and women in uniform, are left to deal with the real-life consequences.

Officer won't sign order for troop indoctrination

Asks to be relieved of command over repeal of 'gay' ban in military

President Obama's repeal of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy is already  damaging the U.S. military. (See SICK SOCIETY Will Washington put an end to the Sodom and Gomorrah lifestyle?) An Army lieutenant colonel has asked to be relieved of command rather than order his troops to go through pro-homosexual indoctrination following the repeal of the policy, which required homosexuals to keep silent about their sexual preference. Currently the commander of a battalion-sized unit in the Army National Guard, the officer also has threatened to resign his commission rather than undergo "behavior modification" training intended to counter his religious convictions about homosexuality.

The soldier sent the following letter to his commanding officer:

Subject: Request for Relief from Command due to Personal Moral Conflict with New Homosexual Policy

1. I respectfully request to be relieved of Command of XXX Squadron, XXX Cavalry prior to new policy implementation subsequent to the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." My personal religious beliefs and moral convictions do not permit me to treat homosexuality as an acceptable lifestyle, compatible with military service, any more than adultery, illicit drug use, or criminal activity. I believe this lifestyle runs counter to good order and discipline in military units, and I refuse to sacrifice my belief system, protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, in order to fall in line with the command policy that will logically follow. This new policy will undoubtedly include mandatory sensitivity training as well as same-sex partner inclusion in Family Readiness Group activities and integration into the full spectrum of other military benefits, as well as a whole new category of discrimination standards and investigative procedures. I will not, as a commander, put my signature on a training schedule or other document recognizing or legitimizing any of these things that contradict my personal beliefs.

2. I would like to remain in the XXX Army National Guard until I am eligible for retirement (at 20 years and 0 days), which would be in the late summer of 2012, but on grounds of my religious beliefs, I will not attend sensitivity or behavior modification training consequential to this policy change, even if it means disciplinary action. I regret that I cannot continue to serve in the military further, but feel that my efforts would be insincere because my heart will no longer be in it."

"I will not be the person who forces this training on my soldiers," the officer, whose identity was being protected, told WND. He plans to go on the record as soon as he discusses his request with his chain of command. The officer said he's aware of other officers who intend to resign their commissions. "These people want to serve. I want to serve. I love my job, but I can't do this job once they begin to implement this policy," he told WND. Under the terms of the DADT repeal, the armed forces will not be permitted to allow open homosexuality in the service until the president, secretary of defense and head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff can certify that terminating DADT will not impair military readiness. During the transition period that will precede certification, the military plans to require servicemen to attend mandatory training sessions intended to change their attitudes toward homosexuality.

"Very few soldiers are fine with open homosexuals in the service," said the officer. "I cannot believe the numbers jibe with what was published in the previous survey," referring to a study commissioned by the Pentagon to assess whether the military could safely repeal DADT. "I did not give up my constitutional rights and freedom of religion when I joined the military. I don't believe in subjecting myself to all of the behavior modification and sensitivity training. They're going to try to push the position that this is an acceptable lifestyle." Beyond concerns about violating his own conscience and the beliefs of his soldiers, the officer predicts several additional adverse consequences to repealing the military's ban on open homosexuality.

"I don't believe the steps they're taking allow a commander to maintain good order and discipline in a military unit," the officer told WND. "DADT was a compromise to allow homosexuals to serve as long as they kept it to themselves. Now they'll be able to throw their lifestyle in everybody's face and commanders won't be able to do anything about it." The officer also predicted problems with retention and recruitment: "I think it might not have an immediate, huge impact, but as enlistments expire you'll get people who vote with their feet and leave the service, and I don't believe the recruiting effort is going to offset the amount of people that leave. The military historically attracts a more conservative group of people who have certain principles and beliefs and swear an oath to the Constitution." As previously reported by WND, some experts predict as many as a quarter of Americans in military service will resign or leave earlier than planned because of the advent of open homosexuality. Nearly half of the Marine Corps respondents to the Pentagon survey said they would consider leaving the service earlier than planned.

The officer also predicted growing security problems as homosexuals become more prevalent in the service. "One of the Army values is selfless service. Placing the good of the nation above personal desires is an essential trait of a good soldier, who may be called upon to give his or her life in the nation's defense. When you start trying to attract people who are so self-centered that they put living their lifestyle out in the open above the needs of their country and national defense, then you have a really dangerous combination. That's when you get instances like PFC Bradley Manning, who is a homosexual. Because of his personal beliefs and bitterness toward the military he decided to leak 150,000 sensitive wires that have done irreparable damage to our nation." Manning, an openly gay soldier, reportedly sent many thousands of sensitive documents to the Wikileaks website out of anger over the military's ban on open homosexuality.

U.S. Military Members To Hold Gay Fashion Week

U.S. Military Members To Hold Gay Fashion Week

By by Arthur C. De Mille

TUCSON - Arizona - Gay Marines are to hold a fashion parade with newly designed uniforms at Fort Peniston for the whole of this week, a gay Marine Corps. Corporal has disclosed. "When I'm in combat I like to unload my magazine with style; to shoot my bullets at all those bad boys out there," Corporal Andre Mincer, told Stars and Stripes magazine. Already, the barracks where the fashion show will be held, has had a major makeover and a catwalk installed where all the gay U.S. military boys and girls will be up there strutting their stuff for five days of joyous military fashion styles. "It don't get better than this. Ever since the military and Obama administration pushed for a gayer U.S. military, we've seen a serious influx of new recruits.

The gays are especially loving the shower…," Corporal Mincer was quoted as saying. The standard issue military uniform has been dubbed as 'too boring' by the marines and they are now pushing for stilettos and spandex for combat operations. "If I'm gonna go out there to Iraq or Afghanistan, I want to look fierce in my uniform, you know, Haute Couture and fabulous sequins. I want to sashay in front of those big swingin' Arab boys in their white cloth dresses. Ooh shoot me baby!" another Marine said just before dress rehearsals on Sunday.

Conclusion

So then, will Washington put an end to the Sodom and Gomorrah lifestyle? Not hardly, but rather magnify it, since the anti-Christ will be a homosexual. The prophet Daniel declared: "And the king (the anti-Christ) shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women..." (Daniel 12:36-37).

Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
