"You say the wine in 1 Tim. 5 is grape juice. But what good will grape juice do to ease his often stomach infirmities?"
The scripture referred to is 1Tim 5 :23 which says, Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities. Grape juice was prescribed in the scriptures to keep your stomach healthy and help battle infirmities that often came about. The scripture does not say it will cure chronic stomach illnesses. A person who has not kept their stomach maintained with grape juice may be beyond the point of a simple grape-juice-fixer-upper and may be in need of serious medical help.
