SCRIPTURES

_________

The doctrine of Election is one of the most misunderstood by inquiring souls. When the scriptures are read in their proper context, Election is properly understood. The doctrine of Election DOES NOT say that God picks and chooses who will go to hell or heaven. The doctrine of Election states that God has chosen the MEANS of salvation before the foundation of the Earth. Lost souls can choose to receive the means of salvation or they can refuse. Each person has the will to choose their eternal destination, God will not force a person to choose heaven. If a soul desires to go to hell then they will go to hell. If a soul desires to go to heaven then they can choose to accept God's means of salvation and apply God's salvation to their lost soul.

God has given each and every person their own free will to choose salvation or reject salvation. God did not pick this person or that person to go to hell before they were born. It is true that God knows a person while in the womb and will pick that person for a certain job. If that person refuses God's will then God will pick another. God does not force His will on anyone. God will predetermine the course of the universe, yet God has given man the free will to choose to follow God's perfect will or refuse God's will. The consequences of not following God's will is death, hell, and destruction. The reward for accepting God's will is honor, glory, righteousness, and eternal life.

God's will for all mankind is the salvation of their souls. God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. II Peter 3:9. God picked no one to go to hell. The above scripture states that God is not willing that anyone go to hell. Hell was prepared for the devil and his angels, not for man. God will send lost souls to the devil's hell because they have decided to choose their own destiny, God did not choose nor is willing that they should go to hell. God has provide a way out, before the foundation of the earth. It is up to a lost soul to choose which way they will go.

It is not God's fault that you are going to hell. It is your fault. You have rejected the remedy. Do not be a hypocrite. If you detected cancer in your body, would you do anything you could do to rid your body of cancer before it killed you? Of course you would. Did you give yourself the cancer? Of course not. So, if you are a sinner by nature and heredity, by no fault of your own, why wouldn't you get the cure for dying in your sins and going to hell? Just like a person who has cancer by no fault, design, or chose of their own, they are going to choose to get help.
