Obama's Ramadan Blessing:

There's A Whole Lot Of Pretending Going On….

Operation Ramadan,

Ha-Meshuggah And War

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

(Matt. 7:15-23)

Who Is Mohammed?

Who Is Mohammed?

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

During the time of Muhammad and later in the Middle Ages, Jewish writers commonly referred to Muhammad as ha-meshuggah ("the madman" or "possessed"), a title used in the Hebrew Bible for impostors who think of themselves as prophets. At the age of 25, Muhammad married the wealthy Khadijah bint Khuwaylid. The marriage lasted for 25 years and was a happy one. Muhammad relied upon Khadija in many ways and did not enter into marriage with another woman during this marriage. After the death of Khadija, it was suggested to Muhammad by Khawla bint Hakim that he should marry Sawda bint Zama, a Muslim widow, or Aisha, daughter of Um Ruman and Abu Bakr of Mecca. Muhammad is said to have asked her to arrange for him to marry both.

Traditional sources dictate that Aisha was six or seven years old when betrothed to Muhammad but the marriage was not consummated until she was nine or ten years old (this is a sick false prophet).  Later, Muhammad married additional wives, nine of whom survived him. Aisha, who became known as Muhammad's favourite wife in Sunni tradition, survived him by many decades and was instrumental in helping to bring together the scattered sayings of Muhammad that would form the Hadith literature for the Sunni branch of Islam.

What Muslims Are Taught About Jesus

Muslims say they follow the teachings of all the Prophets, from Adam to Muhammad. Muhammad was the last Prophet sent to mankind, and Muslims follow the book he was given by God, the Qur'an.

Muslims respect and admire Jesus. Islam teaches that he was one of God's greatest messengers to mankind. The Qur'an describes the miracle of his virgin birth, and a chapter of the Qur'an is entitled "Maryam" (Mary) Here is the Qur'anic description of Jesus' birth:

"Remember when the Angels said "Oh Mary, God gives you glad tidings of a word from him (God) of the Messiah Jesus son of Mary, revered in this world and the hereafter, and one of those brought near to God. He will speak from the cradle as an infant and as a man will be of the righteous." She said "My Lord, how can I have a child when no mortal man has touched me?" He said, "So it will be. God creates what He wills, if He decrees a thing, He says to it only, 'Be!' and it is." (Qur'an 3:45-47)

Jesus was created miraculously by God who had also created Adam without Mother OR Father. God said, 'The case of Jesus was like the case of Adam. He (God) created Adam from dust, then said to him, 'BE!' and he came into being.' (Qur'an 3:59)

The issue of the crucifixion and death of Jesus is important to Muslims as they believe that Jesus will return before the end of time. Muslims believe Jesus was not crucified, but was raised bodily to heaven by God, which is in opposition to the general consensus among Christians that He was indeed crucified.

Depending on the interpretation of the following verse, Muslim scholars have abstracted different opinions. Some believe that Jesus was not on the cross long enough to die, due to circumstantial reasons, according to the Bible, while others opine that God gave someone Jesus' appearance, causing everyone to believe that Jesus was crucified. A third explanation could be that Jesus was nailed to a cross, but as his body is immortal he did not "die" or was not "crucified" [to death]; it only appeared so. Also according to some, God does not use deceit and therefore they contend that simply no crucifixion occurred. The basis of any of these beliefs is the following verse in the Qur'an:

"That they (the wrong-doers) said (in boast), 'We killed the Christ Jesus son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah'; -but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them [or it appeared so unto them], and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not: Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise." —Qur'an, [Qur'an 4:157]. Most Muslims believe Jesus was raised to heaven alive by God. However, a small minority of Islamic scholars, mainly Ahmadi Muslim scholars, argue that he was indeed rescued but died before his ascension.

Quran’s Witness Of Jesus

The Quran bears surprising witness to Jesus. It affirms His virgin birth; His ability to heal and raise the dead; that He is both a word from God and a spirit from God; that He is the Messiah; that He is the all-righteous one (sinless); that He is alive in Heaven now; and that He will return to judge the earth (Quran 3:45, 49; 4:158; 89:22). In a careful reading of Quranic references (3:83-84; 5:46-47; 10:37, 64, 94; 46:12), it appears that Muhammad affirmed his belief in what was revealed to Moses and Jesus. He taught that God confirms and guards all previous Scripture; that Christians are to stand fast on their own books of the Law and the Gospel; and that none can change the Word of God. Finally, the Muslim is told that if he has doubts, he should ask the Jews and Christians, who were reading the Holy Books before he was.

The Quran has enough of the truth twisted with lies to deny that Jesus Christ is truly God manifest in the flesh, and shed his blood to save lost sinners from dying in their sins and going to hell. The Holy Scriptures of God say:

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight... (Col. 1:12-22).

Foreign Policy: The World-Moving Force Of Ramadan

by Vali Nasr of Foreign Policy

Mid-August marks the start of the “holy” month of Ramadan, when hundreds of millions of Muslims will fast from dawn to dusk; for the faithful that also means no daytime arguing, cursing, or sex. But it's not all about pious asceticism. Ramadan is a world-moving force in its own right -- an unpredictable time of rampant consumerism, surprising conflict, and political skullduggery.

     1. RAMADAN IS BIG BUSINESS: Although not quite the global consumer behemoth that is Christmas, Ramadan comes in a respectable second. Yes, productivity in the Muslim world plummets during the fast, and government business grinds to a halt. But malls in Istanbul are thronged, and it's one of the busiest times of year for luxury-car dealers in Riyadh. Fast-food chains offer nighttime Ramadan "meal deals," and Egyptians purchase nearly twice as much food as normal. With captive audiences at home for iftar, the nightly breaking of the fast, TV programmers roll out the year's biggest shows: 25 to 30 percent of Arab TV ad revenue comes during Ramadan. Even Australia feels the economic bounce: In the lead-up to Ramadan, exports of sheep (a holiday indulgence) spike up to 77 percent.

     2. AFTER OIL, RAMADAN IS SAUDI ARABIA'S BIGGEST EXPORT: Until the 1970s, the strict observance of Ramadan remained a voluntary affair across much of the Muslim world, an expression of cultural solidarity as much as personal piety. Then came the oil shock of 1973. Petrodollars flowed into Persian Gulf coffers, gilding the desert kingdoms, which supported conservative Islamic clerics and built mosques and seminaries around the world. Guest workers brought home strict attitudes about women, education, and religious practices to the remote mountains of northern Pakistan and the flood plains of Bangladesh. Today, in Aceh, Indonesia, failure to observe Ramadan is punishable by flogging; in 2009, Egypt's Interior Ministry began enforcing edicts that made daytime eating during the holy month a misdemeanor offense.

     3. RAMADAN IS A TIME OF PEACE, BUT IT'S ALSO MARKED BY WAR: Religious contemplation has not always been synonymous with pacifism. The false prophet Mohammed waged the Battle of Badr, the very first Muslim war against Meccan "infidels," during Ramadan in 624. The 1973 conflict that Israelis call the Yom Kippur War is known to Egyptians, Jordanians, and Syrians -- who launched their surprise attack while fasting -- as the Ramadan War. More recently, in Iraq, the month of Ramadan has seen dramatic upticks in sectarian violence and attacks on U.S. troops, reaching a high of more than 1,400 incidents in 2007. But Ramadan has also complicated military maneuvers: During the battle of Tora Bora, some of the Afghan fighters closing in on Osama bin Laden insisted on going home at dusk to break the fast.

1962 to 1970 - Yemeni Civil War. Fighting continued through nine Ramadans.

1973 - Yom Kippur War (Elsewhere known as the Ramadan War). Egypt and Syria launched an attack on Israel called Operation Badr, and foot soldiers were given religious slogans. The Yom Kippur War is also known as the 6th of October war of 1973 and the 10th of Ramadan  War.

1975 to 1990 - Lebanon's civil war. Fighting took place over the course of seventeen Ramadans.

1981 - Iran rejected Iraqi offers for a Ramadan cease-fire.

1982 - Iran launched an attack on Iraq that they explicitly called "Operation Ramadan."

1987 - Iran again rejected Iraqi offers for a Ramadan cease-fire.

1987 to 1993 - The first Palestinian Intifada was waged over six Ramadans.

1990s - There were at least 20 examples of Ramadan violence by Muslims during the Algerian civil war.

2000 - Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee stated that India would initiate a unilateral cease-fire in observance of the holy month of Ramadan as a step towards peace in Kashmir. Nonetheless, widespread fighting continued between Indian forces and the guerrillas in Jammu-Kashmir.

2003 to 2007 - Iraq War. Fighting took place over the course of four Ramadans.

     4. GLOBALIZATION HAS CHANGED RAMADAN: For the roughly 45 million Muslims now living in the West, strict religious observance can be a lonely affair. Work does not slow for Ramadan, and those fasting must go through the day with co-workers eating and drinking all around. Online guides have sprung up to offer advice on how to manage the resulting feelings of isolation, and influential clerics have made special allowances for Muslims living outside the Middle East. Rulings dating back to the 1970s, for instance, allow Muslims living above 64 degrees latitude (where the sun never sets in the summer months) to start and end the day's fast when it occurs in Mecca or the next major city to the south with a regular sunrise and sunset.

     5. RAMADAN IS A TYRANT'S BEST FRIEND: Secular dictators have long used the holiday to shore up their sagging religious legitimacy. Turkmenbashi, the late neo-Stalinist ruler of Turkmenistan, pardoned 8,145 prisoners during Ramadan in 2005; autocrats from Damascus to Algiers have followed the same playbook. Saddam Hussein, who cynically tried to style himself an Islamist during his regime's latter years, twice made Ramadan cease-fire offers to Tehran during the Iran-Iraq War. And in 2008, when U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice visited Libya during Ramadan, Muammar al-Qaddafi refused to shake her hand, citing Muslim strictures against touching women while fasting -- all the while surrounded by his cohort of Amazonian female bodyguards. It highlighted, once again, how the Islamic holy month has always been a mix of the sacred and the profane. Secular dictators have long used the holiday to shore up their sagging religious legitimacy.

Obama's Ramadan Blessing

By Joseph Farah

http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=191081

Obama's Ramadan blessing: There's a whole lot of pretending going on in our world today. We have a federal judge ruling that the 6,000-year-old institution of marriage was "biased" and immoral from the start because of the way it discriminated unfairly against homosexuals. We have a Justice Department that dismissed an open-and-shut case of vigilante-style voter intimidation because the perpetrators were black and the victims white. And we have a man in the White House who extols Islam for "advancing justice, progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings." That's what I call pretending.

In blessing the Muslim holiday of Ramadan, Barack Obama added that Islam "is a faith known for great diversity and racial equality" and that it "has always been part of America." Brigitte Gabriel combats politically correct notions about the "religion of peace" in "They Must be Stopped: Why We Must Defeat Radical Islam and How we Can Do It." I have more than a passing knowledge of Islam that includes firsthand experience and a significant amount of study over the last 30 years. But somehow I must have missed the advancements of justice, progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.

Honestly, I can think of none. Did I overlook a reformation in the religion that has resulted in one genocide after another for the last 1,300 years? Racial equality? Have the writings of Mohammed been rewritten to excise Muhammad's characterizations of blacks as "ugly," "raisin heads" and "pug-nosed slaves?" (Mohammed referred to Blacks as "raisin heads" (Sahih al-Bukhari vol. 1, no. 662 and vol. 9, no. 256). In another Hadith, Mohammed is quoted as saying that Blacks are, "pug-nosed slaves". (Sahih Moslem vol. 9, p. 46-47).  Didn't it also say in that book that when Allah created the white man, he touched his right shoulder and he came out destined for paradise, but when he touched the left shoulder of the black man, he came out destined for hell?

Who does Obama think sold all those millions of black Africans into slavery in Europe and America? Is he not aware that black slavery is still alive in some Muslim countries in the Middle East?  Justice? Talk to me about it after you finish reading "The Stoning of Soriah M." Progress? Can you name for me one major scientific or social advancement we can historically and accurately attribute to Islam?

Tolerance? I quote: "O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people." Today, imams in the Middle East and elsewhere still quote Muhammad's hadith as their current marching orders: "The Hour [Day of Resurrection] will not arrive until you fight the Jews, [until a Jew will hide behind a rock or tree] and the rock and the tree will say: 'Oh Muslim, servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him!'" Dignity of all human beings? In Islam, Muslim males have a higher worth than any others. A Muslim man can have up to four wives, beat them and change them as he pleases.

How about Islam always being a part of America? Perhaps Obama is referring to the Barbary pirates attacking American commercial ships, capturing their crews and holding them for ransom. Or maybe he's thinking back further to the reason Christopher Columbus journeyed West – to find a safe trade route to the East, one that would mean avoiding the murderous mujahedeen who had blocked the land routes. I don't know. What do you think he's talking about? Were any of the founders Muslim? What are the great Muslim moments in American history? Maybe all of this sounds harsh. But somebody's got to say it. I'm not going to sit still while this pretender of an American president lies about the historical record and misrepresents evil as good. It's time to stop pretending.

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity (Matt. 7:21-23).
