SCRIPTURES

Baptism is for a person who already has salvation. Baptism is not used in order to receive salvation, cleanse sins, enter the kingdom of God, nor receive a religious sacrament promising a sort of theological covenant of God for any future salvation.

Baptism is a commandment for a Christian, not to become a Christian. Baptism is an outward picture of the inward operation of salvation that has already taken place inside the heart of a believer. Baptism is a profession of faith. A believer is professing to the world that they have become a Christian already, sometime in the past. Baptism is a picture of the death, burial, and resurrection of a new creature in Christ. Baptism is showing to the world what a Christian believes, not that a person is wanting to become a Christian.

Any person putting their trust in Baptism to obtain salvation is headed straight to hell. The Bible says For whosoever shall call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved. The Bible does not say whosoever shall become Baptized shall be saved. John 3:16 says For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him (not get baptized) should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 1:12 says But as many as received him (not get baptized), to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (not to those who get baptized).

Paul was the greatest Christian ever. He was the apostle which God sent forth to teach the lost world about Jesus Christ's salvation. Paul said in I Corinthians 1:17 that Christ sent him NOT to baptize but to preach the gospel.
