Three Reasons Why
There Is Only One Version Of The Bible In Each Language:
All Others Are Clever Counterfeits
I. God is powerful enough to have only one truthful version in each language.
II. The devil employs techniques and exploits human nature to negate the word of God, confusing the masses with counterfeit scriptures.
III. Human nature perfunctorily believes superficial arguments critical of the supernatural.
I. God is powerful enough to have only one inerrant version in each language. A god who cannot keep his word faithful throughout all generations is not to be trusted nor worshipped. God moves true men of God by His Holy Spirit to pen down His word but does not leave it at that. God is not leaving His Holy Scriptures to chance. God has been actively preserving His pure word for all generations and in other languages. The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever (Psalm 12:6-7). However, the devil has been actively mistranslating the word of God in many versions and languages.
II. The devil employs several techniques and exploits human nature to negate the word of God and confuse the masses. 1.) By questioning what God really says, 2.) Using human nature’s propensity to change and omit what they perceive they thought they heard (hence, various versions of God’s word with just enough truth mixed in the midst of small degrees of lies, 3.) Redefining God’s words, and 4.) Human nature’s desire to be wise. The first encounter between the devil and mankind is recorded in the book of Genesis and involves God’s words, Adam, Eve, and the devil:
Gen. 3:1: Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? (Questioning God: Eve, did God really mean what He said when you heard you shouldn’t eat of all the trees in the garden?)
Gen. 3:2-3: And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. (Eve changes the word of God to what she thought she heard or desired to hear from Adam, adding a lie. What God actually said to Adam and translated by Eve was: …the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Gen. 2:16-17. Eve added “neither shall ye touch it” and omitted “freely.”
Gen. 3:4-5: And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. (The devil changes the definition of the word “die.” The devil is intimating to Eve that the word "die" means to drop dead on the spot with a sudden cardiac infarction. God uses the word “die” to mean both an immediate spiritual death with the consequence of physical death by old age over many years. The allusion of the devil is a lie when he changes the meaning of God’s word and says Eve will not drop dead on the spot from eating just one piece of fruit. She does however, but in God’s time and contrary to the lies of the devil).
Gen 3:6-7: And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. (Human nature’s desire to be wise is exploited by the devil to deceive people into believing they are wise enough or wiser than the common man to be able to “translate” the word of God. Translation committees “know” what God really meant to say because they are wiser than others. Therefore, they question the word of God, changing the words of Holy Scripture by omitting words, changing meanings of the words from one language to another, and adding words that were not there in the first place).
III. Human nature perfunctorily believes superficial arguments critical of the supernatural. Lost souls operate on human wisdom not based on faith. Lost, religious souls tend to believe the original words penned from God’s men are the uncorrupted and only true version of the Bible. All copies or translations of the original penned words, according to lost human nature, are not exactly the same as the originals, subject to interpretation, and therefore, inherently contain errors. Hence the lie, only the “wise,” endowed with linguistic proficiency, and certified by the “World Council of Scholars” are authorized to translate and interpret the word of God. The truth is translators must be advanced far beyond linguistic abilities, possessing true salvation. Translators must be born-again, endowed with the Spirit and wisdom of God and not trusting the wisdom of this world.
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. I Cor. 2:9-14.
